Zoetic Stage returns to the Ocean Reef Cultural Center with David Auburn’s
Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Proof. The celebrated play follows Catherine, a young
woman who has sacrificed her life to care for her brilliant but mentally ill father,
Robert. After Robert’s death, Catherine must navigate her volatile emotions, her
estranged sister Claire, and the attentions of her father’s former student. The
play explores themes of genius, madness, trust, and the complicated legacy of
talent as Catherine discovers a groundbreaking mathematical proof, leading to
the revelation of its true author and a deeper understanding of herself.
